The truth is that establishing a winter outdoor classroom is a game-changer, one that will transform your teaching practice, revitalize your school grounds/backyard, and even get children excited about playful learning.

A lack of a plan or any systems in place for cold weather play.
In this WINTER Master Class, you’ll discover how to:
As an educator, my Teaching Garden story didn't start until I was a parent. While spearheading the transformation of an old desolate courtyard at my children's elementary school into a Children's Garden & Outdoor Classroom I discovered my entire philosophy of education had transformed.
I now inspire teachers and parents to cultivate learning gardens and nature-based curricula through my online offerings at Outdoor-Classrooms.com and my local Nature Classes in Secret Gardens in Beverly, MA.
One of my greatest joys is to witness the wonder of a child playfully learning outdoors and exploring nature.
The Exploring Nature in Winter Master Class is a comprehensive training, designed to help you create a winter curriculum that gets both you and your kids jazzed about going outside during the cold months.
The Exploring Nature in Winter Master Class was originally created to help teachers and parents discover how to connect children with nature no matter what the weather is! Winter is full of opportunities to explore nature and incorporate natural elements into your curriculum environment. This Master Class reflects on the importance of getting children outdoors during the coldest months of the year. Furthermore introduces 30+ (and growing) Nature-Based Winter Activities as seeds of inspiration; along with 4 LIVE Zoom sessions and an expansive Resource Library of Winter-themed Children’s Books.
